Hope Church Columbia — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 06/24/2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Hope Church Columbia ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our SOC safety and security text-message alert program.
Information we collect
When you opt in to receive safety and security alerts, we collect your name, mobile phone number, and role (staff or security-team volunteer). We collect this information directly from you when you complete our security-team contact/consent form.
How we use your information
We use your mobile number solely to deliver safety and security notifications related to the Hope Church Columbia campus — for example, alarm activations, door events, lockdown or evacuation notices, and system-status alerts. We do not use it for marketing.
How we share your information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We only share your mobile number with our messaging service provider (Twilio) strictly as needed to transmit these alerts on our behalf; that provider is contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose. We may disclose information if required by law.
Message frequency, rates, and opt-out
Message frequency varies based on security events. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP.
Data retention
We retain your contact information only while you are an active member of the alert program and remove it upon your opt-out or request.
