A whole heart for God, really possible

Sin nature and the Christian life in Romans

1h 20m
October 19, 2025

The sermon examines Romans 6-8 and argues that the gospel addresses both the penalty and power of sin in believers. The preacher contends that Romans 7 does not represent the normal Christian life, and that the Holy Spirit's work to put to death the deeds of the flesh (Romans 8:13) represents genuine transformation, not merely covering the sin nature. Supporting discussion includes the distinction between justification and sanctification, references to pastoral disagreements on sin in the believer, and examination of what complete transformation entails.

Scripture: Romans 6:1-8:13, Colossians 2:14
